Job Description:

Global geo-contextual location platform looking for experienced sales manager to join the US team focusing on both agencies and brands direct.  Opportunity to work with advertisers to help them drive foot traffic into stores from the mobile digital ad spend and close the loop with full mobile attribution via location and beacon analytics.  Proven experience in sales, digital, and mobile in the NYC area with solid grasp of ad technology solutions in both mobile and programmatic. 

Job Function:

The person in this role will reach out to agencies and brands alike to drive business to the Sonata platform.  The focus will be NYC, but not limited to this area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Show aggressive and polished tactics in opening up relationships and closing business opportunities
  • Establish relationships with agencies and brands to leverage Sonata’s mobile targeting closed loop attribution technology
  • Develop and manage sales pipeline effectively
  • Research and stay one step ahead of the market, the client’s needs and competitive intelligence
  • Work closely with Account Management to ensure partner’s success and satisfaction
  • Consistently achieve/exceed sales targets
  • Achieve customer retention targets
  • Listen to the needs of the market and communicate to Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams
  • Communicate constantly with prospects via phone & email (80% of time)

Qualifications

  • A strong will to win, hustle and determination
  • Consistent over-achievement against a >$500k quota, or similarly measurable success 
  • Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent
  • Mobile display advertising experience highly desired
  • Good listening skills
  • Assertive, resilient and persuasive personality
  • Analytical, structured thought process with the ability to assess business opportunities and read prospective buyers
  • 6+ years experience in sales experience working in sales
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable being an individual contributor
  • Demonstrated high performance
  • Comfortable operating in fast paced environment
  • The ability to adapt to new situations quickly and think on your feet
  • 10-15%+ travel required
  • NYC based
